Katrina, now Rita... here I sit!

Needless to say my hometown has suffered it's fair share of bad luck over the past 30 days. With Rita, we only had winds, enought to limit our power again, but only for 7 or 8 hrs. I am posting some photo's of houses in the neighborhood, some with damage, some without. Lucky X 2... We had no damage at our house. Mother nature has her own agenda, doesn't she?

Well I hope you are doing ok through the storms, thanks for visitng my blog-I saw your dogs by the way, wonderful, I used to have a magnificent German Shepherd, 135 pounds, we had to put him down at 9 years (kept getting the bloat), it was tough to watch him go, such a great friend. I'm a military policman in the Army, working dogs are so fun to watch.
Anyway, stay safe in the storm.
take care

Wow! I am glad you got through it ok. Those big beautiful trees do so much damage. We have a bunch of them in our yard too. Makes me cringe seeing the damage they can do when they fall.

It's wierd how mother nature can be so random. I was never in a major hurricane living in Florida all my life until last year when I was in 3. Glad you fared well in the storm.
